A YOUNG MODEL SHOT BY An MLA’S SON
When whole India was sleeping, a young model shot by a son of an MLA at sharp 2 am on 30 April 1999.
As per the report, she was the model and bartender of Tamarind Court Restaurant, New Delhi. She was shot because she refused to give the liquor to the accused as per the regulatory time that was 12:30. At that she was shot there were 300+ persons in that party, but no one become a witness of that incident. All the Witnessed were refused by their interpretation. No single person has given correct statements to the police and in court also. They all misrepresent the facts during the incident. At that time all the society were interested in the news of war between INDIA and PAKISTAN. So due this media did not give any importance to this news.
But after some time, this news spread like fire in the forest. At this time media played their role in an effective manner. Media reopened this case again in front of the court. They collect Victims and many murder related information. In that case, the court decided to “Fast Track” the case so they can get justice as soon as possible. Before media entered in that case this case was got shut due to lack of evidence from the death’ party. Media helps the society and government to know about the incident of that night in which Jessica killed.
A lot of campaign and protest happened after the media release this news as headlines of the newspapers. As soon as the whole nation was with Jessica. This has happened due to the wide spread of media in all the places of countries.
In Bollywood, there is also a movie based on this incident, “NO ONE KILLED JESSICA”. Every Time when injustice happens media always come in front with the true facts about the cases.
